Established in 1670, the Royal Botanic Gardens have developed into one of the finest gardens in the world and captures the imagination of everyone who visits. Occupying over 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, just a stone’s throw from the city centre, it is home to seven per cent of all known plants. At the heart of the Garden stands the magnificent Victorian Temperate Palm House, the glorious entrance to the Glasshouses and Britain’s tallest palm house. Breathtaking throughout the seasons, it also features a shop, café, exhibitions and guided tours.
