Port Specifications

Leith is Edinburgh’s primary port and its excellent facilities ensure fast and efficient access for passengers in transit or for embarking or disembarking. The Port of Leith is entered from the Forth Estuary through a 259 x 31.6m lock and provides a number of non-tidal berths for safe and easy passenger access. A large coach and car park sits adjacent to the port’s modern cruise liner terminal which lies just four km from Edinburgh’s historic city centre.

The Port of Rosyth can also accommodate turnaround and transit calls. Located 25 km from Edinburgh you will pass below the Forth Bridge, the largest listed building in Britain and one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world. With a maximum air draft of 44m, the bridge stands alongside the Forth Road Bridge and provides a magnificent gateway to Rosyth.

Alternatively, the Hound Point Anchorage lies next to the Bridges and enjoys views to both shores. Only accessible to very large vessels and following a three to five minute tender ride to Hawes Pier, Edinburgh City centre is just a 17 km drive away.
