Scone Palace was formerly the crowning place of Scottish kings, including Macbeth and Robert the Bruce. The palace’s 125 sumptuous rooms house a fabulous collection of French furniture, clocks, 16th century needlework (including bed hangings worked by Mary Queen of Scots), objets d’art and one of the finest collections of porcelain in the country. It is a true treasure trove of Scottish history. The grounds and gardens are equally impressive and well worth visiting.
